30th ACHPER International Conference

Picture
This conference has a rich history of over 50 years engaging with national and international health and physical education teachers, sport educators and coaches, outdoor educators and associated health practitioners. It is known for the sharing of the importance of active and healthy living through ACHPER National's primary focus areas – health and physical education and recreation.

ACHPER is delighted to present a program that includes over 220 sessions, including six symposiums:
  •  Quality Physical Education (QPE) in all Australian schools
  •  Game Sense
  •  Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR)
  •  Spectrum of Teaching Styles
  •  Sport Education
  •  Cooperative Learning

5th International Game Sense Conference

The 5th International Game Sense Conference will be held in Adelaide, South Australia in July 2017.

The Adelaide conference will feature some of the leading figures in game-based approaches for teaching and coaching from Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Most importantly it provides a forum in which academics and practitioners can meet, engage in dialogue, learn and develop the teaching of games and sport in a collaborative environment.

In physical education and coaching of sporting activities, games-based approaches to teaching and coaching focus on the designing of games to facilitate player learning. Through modified games and game-like activities coaches/teachers can couple the learning of both technique and strategies. This conference will challenge and support your work as a teacher or coach enabling you and your players to learn and execute technical and tactical skills in creative and practical ways.
