Mission Statement: Felipe da Costa
In Brazil, physical education classes are developed based on traditional teaching methodologies. It means that teachers give priority to teach technical skills rather than the game. Considering the didactic and methodological developments, it´s fundamentally important that new possibilities for education are developed. In this sense the TGfU is an alternative to the teaching of collective sports, from novice to elite.
In this sense, I consider three key points for the TGfU be efficiently implemented:
a) Disseminate and promote TGfU in Brazil, academic level, participating and organizing congresses about the topic.
b) Develop research projects involving the teaching and practice of collective sports considering the TGfU.
c) Provide support and assist with promoting quality pedagogical practice in teaching and coaching games/ sport, from novice to elite.
